WordPress usually displays the categories in alphabetical order in the sidebar. But sometimes we may need to bring down less important category names. My Category Order is a WP plugin which allows to change the order of the categories that appear on the side bar.

Installation
- Download the plugin and extract the files
- Upload the plugin to your wp-content\plugins folder
- Now login to your WordPress admin and go to the plugins section
- Activate the plugin
- Now you can see a new link called ‘Category Order’ under the posts section
- Click on that and go to the category order page
- Drag and Drop the names in the desired order and click on Order Categories
- Done. Now the categories will appear in the order you specified
